The new Proposed Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS)<\/p>\n

In 2026, there will be another way to travel<\/a> to Johor Bahru from Singapore where commuters can look forward on the construction of the Johor Bahru – Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) link which will take travelers to JB from Singapore in just five minutes. The 4km rail shuttle service will run between Singapore terminus at Woodlands North Station and the Malaysia terminus at Bukit Chagar Station in Johor Bahru.<\/p>\n

Here is the preview of the new RTS links<\/p>\n

This new transit has a large capacity of 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction. And the Land Transport Authority (LTA) is the second civil contract for the project award to China Communication Construction Company Limited at a contract valued around $180 illion. The contract covers the construction of the project which is the RTS link via duck stand above the Straights of Johor within Singapore’s territory at a height of 25 meters, and then it will continue inland and transit to underground tunnels connecting to the RTS Link Woodlands North Station.<\/p>\n

The company that was award the contract has 15 years of experience in infrastructure construction and specialised in large scale rail, road and bridge project. Where the China Communications Construction Company Limited has completed rail project in other countries such as China and Kenya, and they are also constructing the Boon Lay station on the Jurong Region Line.<\/p>\n
