Another piece of forested land which is also slated for a residential developed which is to the south of the Clementi forest, which is called the Dover forest which is known as the Ulu Pandan Estate. Which this forest is likely to be replaced by new flats in the coming years. According to the environment baseline study released by the Housing Development Board (HDB) where the Dover forest was a part of rubber plantation from the 1920s to the 1940s was abandoned after World War II. After that since 1980s, the four freshwater steams has been relatively untouched.<\/p>\n

This HBD unveiled where it will be offering new flats in the Ulu Pandan estate this year. According to the environmental baseline study conducted 2017 by HBD as there is a 120 species of plants and 158 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, snails and insect were observed in Dover Forest.<\/p>\n

Here where 45 percent of the vegetation in the Dover forest has been classified as Good, as 16 locally threatened species of plants, 27 large trees and there are also mature tree from fig family which is the Critically Endangered Ficus virens. 82 birds, eight mammals, 11 reptiles, eight amphibians, four fish, 23 butterflies and 17 donates, as well as five snail species is also a part of wildlife here.<\/p>\n
