Often when we go out, we see lotsa promotion it’s 1-for-1 or 50% off but do you know that they are not the same thing? When you see it, it might look the same but are both of them the same thing? Well, they\u2019re not!<\/p>\n

We will explain the to you the difference of the 1-for-1 and 50% off (using food promotion <\/strong><\/em>as example), so that you will understand and not get confused when you are seeing this promotion! We want to let you optimise your purchase to make the best use of each promotion and not making the wrong decision.<\/p>\n

So what’s the difference la of 1-for-1 and 50% Off<\/h4>\n

When you use a 1-for-1 promotion, you\u2019re essentially paying the full price for 1 item, and getting another 1 \u2018free\u2019.\u00a0The most obvious example is that you will you can’t choose what \u2018free\u2019 item which normally the optimal decision is for the second item to be equal in price.<\/p>\n

For the case of 50% off, the price of items you ordered will be added up, and then a 50% discount is applied to it. So you can choose 2 of your item that you wanted<\/p>\n

On the taxes wise, we are taking food for example, for 1 for 1 deal, you will only be paying the GST and service charge for one item, because the second meal is \u2018free\u2019 so the taxes can only be levied on the first meal.<\/p>\n

For the 50% off, all the GST and taxes will then be added back into your final bill. In short, you will be paying slightly more in GST and taxes, as compared to a 1-for-1 type of deal.<\/p>\n
