S’porean Man Makes Custom Airguns and Shoot at Jurong HDB gets 1.5 Year Jail<\/p>\n

As we all know that nerf gun is popular and having soft bullets that are harmless, while the paintball gun is shooting out color pellets that can cause a bruise. While Airgun is being banned in most country due to the pellet shoot out can be a sort of bullets which can cause harm.<\/p>\n

In Singapore, a 64-year-old man decided to custom made his own gun through online videos tutorials. He first started to construct the metal-air gun then test it by shooting at neighbouring blocks which shattered some of his neighbor’s window in the process.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday 16, December he was sentenced to 18 weeks of jail and slapped with a $2,000 fine. The man was a fan of Neft Gun and fascinated by how the nerf gun works while then he started to took some scrap material from his company’s workshop and started to make his own airguns.<\/p>\n

With the Youtube tutorials, he managed to custom out 3 airguns which his 3rd airgun completed in 2018 turns out to be his most powerful airgun, with this airgun, he has purchased around 100 6mm steel ball bearings and 100 8mm ball bearings to test out his airguns. He then practices his session until April 2019 which he has damaged a total of 9 units of windows.<\/p>\n

The total of 200 ball bearings was all reported shot and for manufacturing an airgun without a license and committing a rash act by shooting neighboring blocks, he was then sentenced to jail for 18 weeks and fined $2,000.\u00a0 While for manufacturing a gun, he could have been dealt a stiffer penalty of up to 3 years and fined $10,000. Hopefully, he has learned his lesson for producing a dangerous weapon!<\/p>\n
