As for popular attractions such as USS and Gardens By the Bay which we all know, however, did you all know that back in the 1990s, there were used to be a Tang Dynasty Village which was suppose to use in Singapore for films and also being a theme park. Located close to Jurong Lake Garden where this $70 Million attraction lasts less than 10 years of time which it started to operate in Jan 1992 and closed down in 1999. With a spanning of 12 hectares which is the size of 18 football fields, this Tang Dynasty was a huge attraction back then with a 3m tall life-size the Great Wall of China replica surround it.<\/p>\n

This whole attraction which was having high hopes from all stakeholders where it was expected to draw 900,000 visitors a year and profit estimated to reach $20 million a year, however, they failed to hit this financial mark even it does draw large crowds.<\/p>\n

Which then eventually it comes to its final days when faced the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997 and then this whole village was left abandoned for many years with that collapsed status and overgrown moss. Since then it has become one of Singapore most haunted places and eventually, in January 2008, the site was finally cemented with its demolition and this plot of land still remains vacant until today.<\/p>\n
