With the current pandemic which is still around Malaysia, while tourism and border crossing are still not allowed in most countries. In Johor, the situation just becomes dire were 13 hotels just shut down due to low occupancy and the occupancy has gone low as 28% in August where this news was announced by Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Johor\u2019s Tourism, Youth and Sports Committee chairman, on Tuesday (1 Dec)<\/p>\n

And despite this, another side such as attractions and shopping mall were facing the same fate too which is starting to worsen as the tourism sector is being hit hard by the closure of the border. However, in order for the border to open, the covid-19 cases must be low in both countries and it will also require cooperation between the Johor state government, the federal government, and Singapore.<\/p>\n

Due to this bad situation, the Johor government has announced initiatives to help the tourism industry by<\/p>\n
