Jack Ma who is famously know as tech titan Alibaba<\/a>\u2019s founder and aside form that he is also well know as singer,\u00a0Michael Jackson impersonator,\u00a0martial arts movie star\u00a0and\u00a0coffee connoisseur\u00a0\u2014 has just announced his plans to step down as Alibaba<\/a>\u2019s chairman exactly a year from now.<\/p>\n

Jack Ma, who has co-founded Alibaba<\/a> in his apartment 19 years ago and has led it ever since, and the latest news is that will step down as chairman a year from Monday, the company said. He will be succeeded by Daniel Zhang, currently Alibaba<\/a>\u2019s chief executive.<\/p>\n

This retirement news was announced on Monday, Sept. 10, which was also his 54th birthday and Teacher\u2019s Day in China, where in his\u00a0letter<\/a>\u00a0addressed to Alibaba<\/a>\u2019s employees, customers and investors:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe world is big, and I am still young, so I want to try new things \u2014 because what if new dreams can be realised?!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We could see Jack Ma teaching again as Jack Ma has mentioned that he wants to devote most of his time to philanthropy, focusing on education, after retirement.<\/p>\n

This was the statement made in a\u00a0Bloomberg interview<\/a>\u00a0on Sept. 7 just three days before he made the announcement where he has hinted at his plans to retire:<\/p>\n

\u201cI miss (teaching) very much.<\/p>\n

I came to the business field by accident. I think someday, very soon, I\u2019ll go back to teaching, go back to education.<\/p>\n

This is something I\u2019m much more confident (in). I think I can do it much better than being Alibaba<\/a>\u2019s CEO.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Honestly, we do feel that we are gonna miss him but kudos to him for following his dream and devoting himself to education to help more people.<\/p>\n
