A 27-year-old man who stole credit card information from a woman and the victim who has to discover about a few unauthorised transactions which have been made to her credit card, therefore, called police for assistance on Sunday (Aug 2).<\/p>\n

The man later was arrested on the same day and police investigation revealed that the man is believed have stoned the victim’s credit card information and later used it to top up his mobile wallet and made unauthorised retail and online transactions amounting to more than $10,000.<\/p>\n

The man will be charged in court on Tuesday (Aug 4) and his offence can carry a fine up to $5,000, a jail term of up to two years, or both. Police also reminding the member of the public that unauthorised use of another person\u2019s credit or debit card and credit or debit card information is a serious offence.<\/p>\n

All credit and debit cardholders are also advised to call their card-issuing banks immediately if their credit or debit cards are lost or stolen, and to adopt the following crime prevention measures:<\/p>\n
