A 29-year-old Singapore, Rachel\u00a0Cheong who has made a request out for donation on her last resort of experimental treatment for her leukaemia which she is suffering from the T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (T-ALL). It was diagnosed in April 2018 after Cheong started encountering night sweats, bloating, and being unable to lie down to sleep.<\/p>\n

Where during the early discovery, the have difficulty opening her left eye and within a week later she was unable to open her left eye completely due to the cancerous growth at the back of her left eye and neck. Currently, she is going through subsequent radiotherapy to get rid of the cancer cells and she even went through a stem cell transplant to be cleared of the cancer cells but barely 3 months later the leukaemia returns and causes dark spot on her skin.

\nCurrently, she is exhausted by every other treatment option available, she wanted to try a new treatment: Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR-T) at NUH, where cancer-immune cells (T cells) are equipped with CAR-T to kill cancer cells.<\/p>\n

As of the time of writing, Cheong’s campaign has raised S$159,185. She aims to raise S$250,000 which will pay for her hospital fees, including the scans. Funds raised will go directly to the hospital to pay for Cheong’s medical bills.\u00a0You can donate here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
