S’porean Encouraged To Sing National Anthem From Homes On Aug 9th – 10.30 a.m<\/p>\n

This year the National Day Parade (NDP) will be totally different from the previous yeas due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. While the NDP will be held at The Star Performing Arts Centre rather than the Padang to focus on a more small scale performance.<\/p>\n

According to the NDP, the National Anthem will be played at the Padang On August 9th at approximately 10.30 a.m, with the flag-raising ceremonies taking place across the island. While various government agencies with the support from the NDP 2020 Executive Committee (EXCO) will be conducting the flag-raising ceremonies at eight locations. The eight locations are the Padang, Changi Airport, Enabling Village, Kampung Admiralty, Lifelong Learning Institute @ Paya Lebar, National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), North Vista Secondary School and NTUC FairPrice Hub @ Joo Koon.<\/p>\n

The Public Warning System will act as to be sounded to rally SIngaporeans to participate in the ANthem moment from the home and the whole process will be broadcast live over TV and radio channels. Singaporean are encouraged to tune into the live broadcast from their home and record themselves participating in the Anthem moment.<\/p>\n
