For those couples who go overseas for the wedding shots for great scenery, well. There might be a better way to do all these amazing shots and it is hidden at our beautiful island of Singapore here. Here are 11 ways of where you can get your pre-wedding shots in a very nice location.<\/p>\n

1. Canterbury Road<\/strong> – with the long history of a pocket full with greenery between the black and white bungalows which make for a perfect wedding photoshoot backdrops.

Photography tip:<\/strong> For the best pictures, drop by Canterbury Road after 6.00 pm. During the golden hour, the entire place is bathed in soft light. Capture the romantic, fairytale vibes by keeping your aperture low.<\/p>\n

2. Punggol Lake<\/strong> – the great lake view of less noisy and crowded beaches as options.<\/p>\n

Photography tip:<\/strong>\u00a0To capture the 50m wide lake in its full glory, bring a wide-angle lens. We used a Canon 16-35mm lens here and it was versatile enough to shoot both close-up and wide-angle shots.<\/p>\n

3. Tuas South Avenue 1<\/strong> – the spot of lustful greenery and with orange flowers blooming all around which is a perfect wonderland feeling.

Photography tip:<\/strong>\u00a0Purchase a camera remote control from a camera shop before your shoot. The handy contraption will save you the trouble of running back and forth to check if the pictures turned out well.<\/p>\n

Photography tip:<\/strong> Bring a camera lens with a low aperture to capture the depth of field in your shots.<\/p>\n

5. Coney Island<\/strong> – with these huge pine tree forests here have an amazing view during the sunset as the light filtered through those leaves which creates a soft and warm effect for your shots.

Photography tips:<\/strong>\u00a0Don\u2019t\u00a0geh kiang<\/em>\u00a0and scrimp on bike rentals. You\u2019re going to have to lug a heavy camera and tripod around so hop on an OFO bike or rent one from\u00a0Jomando<\/a>.<\/p>\n

6. Punggol Lalang fields<\/strong> – with this isolated place which are just a 10 minutes walk from the main road and you are exposed to the best spot you might see with the beautiful grass spread all along this area.

Photography tip:<\/strong> We found this gem of a spot by following the trail of confetti littered on the ground. Even though this colorful paper path was mighty helpful, be a considerate photographer, and clean up after yourself.<\/p>\n

7. Prinsep Street Presbyterian Church<\/strong> – nestled in Bugis this place is very popular for the textured red bricks walls as details to your shots.<\/p>\n

Photography tip:<\/strong> To get the best shot, we had to mount the camera and tripod opposite the church, three-car lanes away.<\/p>\n

8. Upper Seletar Reservoir<\/strong> – the perfect backdrop of a Casuarina tree against the wide lake with few benches on the side which make the idea of a perfect shot for those who loves these lake sceneries.<\/p>\n

Photography tip:<\/strong>\u00a0Look out for the bare patch of grass and mount your tripod there. The grass is bare because the many photographers before you have realised this is the spot to capture the best photo.<\/p>\n

Use the built-in grids in your camera to make sure the water body cuts across the picture perfectly, like in the first pic.<\/p>\n

9. Kranji Marshes<\/strong> – with the stretch of 56 hectares of lands and a build-up lookout tower that is perfect for the shots.<\/p>\n

Photography tip:<\/strong>\u00a0There are two entrances to the lookout tower. Take the prettier route and pick the one which strays further from the main pathway on the left.<\/p>\n

10. The White Rabbit<\/strong> – a 1930s Ebenezer chapel which was beautifully restored and with these multicolor stained glass windows as the backgrounds.

11. Bukit Timah Railway Tracks<\/strong> – the one of the best railway shots which are surrounded with a great nature plus a great morning glow if you wanted a great shot of lightning.<\/p>\n
